Catholic Schools Week Agenda!

January 30 - February 3 we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week! This is a time to acknowledge and praise Catholic schools with Mass and activities at school. This year, The Faith & Action Team (FIAT) has come up with a few ideas to promote Catholic education as well as Catholic values.

Here's what's planned for the week of January 29th:

THEME: Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service.

To incorporate this theme, we will have a fundraiser that will show our faith, help us become knowledgeable, and show our service to others.  Our goal for the fundraiser is to help orphans in Ethiopia by raising a minimum of $500 to buy a grant to keep a family together so their children don't become orphans

THEMED DRESS DAYS:
  • Monday: Superheroes
  • Tuesday: Pajama Day
  • Wednesday: Mass Day- Dress Up
  • Thursday: Fav. Religious person day (Bible character, saints, etc.)
  • FridayTopper Pride

RELIGION COMPETITION
Battle of the Bible Competition!
-Competition with religion questions; winning members of each class will have a final competition for a battle against grades in Topper on Friday afternoon.  (with a modified schedule)

PENNY WARS:
-Competition grade wise (Freshmen-Seniors & Teachers)-  the bins will be located in Mrs. Hayes & Rydeski's rooms for each class, and the grade that wins gets first in line to lunch for a week.  If the school reaches the $500 goal, the entire school will earn a dress down day too!

** All proceeds go to Rivers of Living Water in Ethiopia **

Look out for posters and listen to announcements for more details. Let's make this a great Catholic Schools Week celebration!
