Safe Environment Week
Pulpit Announcement for April 11-12

In the United States, April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Although safeguarding all of God’s children is a daily occurrence in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, annually, the month of April is set aside so every parish and school, as well as the entire Catholic community, may all together focus on the importance of keeping children and youth safe.

Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki has designated this coming week as Safe Environment Week throughout the archdiocese.   This is a time when everyone has the opportunity to simultaneously focus on abuse prevention and the archdiocesan initiatives that are already underway.   This year’s focus will be on “Respect” and the importance of sustaining and maintaining respect for all of God’s family.

Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki has issued a Proclamation for Safe Environment week. Please read at all Masses. Click here to access Proclamation.
