2016 Gettysburg Trip

Students stand at the Eternal Light Peace Memorial, dedicated by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938 commemorating the 75th anniversary of the battle.

Students stand at the monument to the 2nd Wisconsin Regiment. This regiment, with soldiers from the state including Racine County, were some of the first Union soldiers on the field, and their bravery slowed the Rebel advance and very well saved the battle. A sidenote, the 2nd Wisconsin is noted for having the largest casualty number of any regiment throughout the war - a very distinguished honor.

Students stand in line where the Virginia soldiers commanded by Brig Gen George Pickett took off at 3 PM on July 3, 1863, beginning the famous Pickett's Charge. The charge had ~12,500 soldiers that stretched over a mile centered on one spot of the Union Line. It fails miserably and is the final major action of the Battle of Gettysburg.

JV Baseball Game Change Information

Thursdays  JV baseball game is going to be played as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 26th, in Racine. The start time for the 1st game will be 3:30 p.m.  The games will be played at Lockwood Park in Racine.

There will NOT be a JV game on Thursday the 28th.

The shortage in umpires is starting to affect us here locally. Umpires we have been able to rely on for JV games are now needed for varsity games. We have been unable to find umpires for the home JV game we had scheduled for Thursday. Instead of cancelling the game, we decided to make it an abbreviated DH on Tuesday, so the kids could play more. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause any of you.

With very few young people getting into officiating, it is getting harder to consistently find JV officials. Please help us by encouraging young people you know to look into becoming an official.

Tonight Thursday's Softball Game has been CANCELLED!

Tonight's softball game vs St. Thomas More at Congress Field has been postponed due to field conditions.

Practice will be held in the gym.

More details to follow on make up game!
