CCHS 2013 School Musical
Catholic Central is pleased to announce that "Babes in Arms" has been chosen as our Musical Production for the coming school year. Auditions will be August 22 and 23rd with performances October 24-27.
The quintessential, "hey kids, let's put on a show!" musical boasts one of the greatest scores ever written. Set at a summer stock theater, the plot concerns a group of young apprentices and their conviction to mount the original revue they've created, while dodging the underhanded attempts of the surly theater owner to squash their efforts at every turn.
Further complications are provided by the overbearing stage mother of a beautiful ex-child star, and the inflated ego of a hack southern playwright. But, of course, the show must go on, and so it does, in a resolution of comeuppance, reconciliation, and romance.
The classic Rodgers and Hart score includes such classic songs as "My Funny Valentine" and "I Wish I Were In Love Again." Mark your calendars now; or better yet, plan to get involved with the production! Contact Director Zachary Ziegler at zziegler@cchsnet.org
See you at the show!
