Clarification for tonight 12/16 basketball game at Westosha Central

The games are tonight Monday, December 16th.

Game times are
 4:15 for the freshman
 5:30 for the junior varsity
7:15 for the varsity. 

Gettysburg Address - US History Class

The well-known filmmaker Ken Burns' new documentary that is coming out in April '14 is on the Gettysburg Address. Along with the documentary, his hope is that all American citizens will record themselves reciting the Gettysburg Address.

Well on Friday, the students took part in reciting the greatest American speech in history, each taking a part of the short but powerful speech. Below are the three classes reciting the address - have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

COAT DRIVE FOR LOVE, INC.

Please get your coats turned in for our Love, Inc. Coat Drive before this Friday December 20th. Collection boxes are placed around the campus. If we can bring in at least 40 coats, all types and sizes, the day we return back from Christmas break will be a dress down day! 

Loaves 4 Learning School Fundraising Program

Catholic Central High School was recently accepted in the Loaves 4 Learning School Fundraising Program.  For each UPC collected from Country Hearth and Village Hearth breads, CCHS will collect 5 cents to be put towards computers, music, sports, building repairs, etc.!!  So start collecting those UPC’s and give them to Georgean Selburg, so that she can submit them for redemption!!

Catholic Central Awarded Grants

Catholic Central recently received a grant from the Exxon Mobil Foundation in the amount of $500 for aid in the area of science.  This grant was made possible by Mohinder Singh of Lyons Mobil.  Also, Catholic Central's Music Department was awarded a grant for $320 from Music Matters to partially fund SmartMusic licensing. SmartMusic software has become an integral part of the music department's weekly lessons, practices and is a definite asset.


Freshman Study Skills Seminar!


Due to the strong response of those interested the Freshman Finals Study Skills Seminar, it will be offered two days this week.  Students need to sign up in advanced to ensure there are enough copies, and need to indicate which day they will be participating.

It will be:
Tuesday 3:00-3:30 and will meet in room 206 or Wednesday 2:35-3:05 also meeting in room 206.


CC Music Department Christmas Concert Tonight!!

CC Music Department Christmas Concert is being held tonight Monday, December 9 at 7:00.  Free concert with refreshments served afterwards.  Come celebrate the holiday season with performances from the CC Topper Band and Topper Choir.

Catholic Central One-Act Festival


Catholic Central Drama Presents a One-Act Festival; 3 short student-directed plays performed by our first year drama students.  Showtime is at7:00 on Saturday, December 7.  Doors open at 6:30.  We are asking for a $5 donation.
